Honorariums

An honorarium is the perfect way to express your good wishes to fellow Optimists or to your family and friends to celebrate a special event. When you make a gift to the Optimist International Foundations in honor of an individual, we will send a nice notification card to the honoree stating that a gift has been made in his or her honor recognizing your thoughtfulness.

Memorials

Making a memorial gift to the Optimist Foundations is a loving tribute honoring the memory of a departed loved one or remembering someone on a special occasion. This is a wonderful way to honor a person by giving a gift that will be perpetuated through the lives of young people helped through the program funding provided by the Foundations. A notification card will be sent to the family of the person being remembered informing them of your memorial gift.

Recognition

The Club Memorial/Honor Banner Emblem Program was established to recognize honorarium and memorial gifts made to the Optimist Foundations from our Optimist Clubs. By making a minimum gift of $100, an Optimist Club must request to receive the Honor or Memorial emblem to display on their club banner. Accompanying these emblems is a smaller emblem with the embroidered name of the person being recognized. The Memorial emblem is black and the Honor emblem is red. Both emblems have gold embroidery. Clubs receive year bar credit, annual recognition and lifetime gift credit for their gifts. Individuals receive annual and lifetime recognition for honorarium and memorial gifts.
